COURSE AUTHOR & CHIEF INSTRUCTOR: Cris Kobryn, the visionary behind PivotPoint Technology, is globally acknowledged for his proficiency in system architecture modeling languages such as SysML, UML, BPMN2, ArchiMate, along with enterprise architecture frameworks like DoDAF, UPDM, TOGAF, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools. He spearheaded the pioneering SysML (Systems Modeling Language) open source project, earning him the INCOSE Outstanding Service Award in 2006.

With a career spanning over thirty years, Cris has devoted his expertise to architecting and designing distributed computer systems. He is celebrated for his leadership in international standardization teams for UML 1.x, UML 2.0, and SysML.

Before his groundbreaking work in Model-Driven Development and MBSE, Cris was deeply involved in AI programming languages including Prolog, Lisp, CLOS, and applied them to create knowledge-based expert systems and natural language processing. His leadership in AI software engineering was evident in his work with Verac Inc., SAIC (DARPA), Harlequin Limited, and Inference Corp., where he accumulated substantial experience in AI fault-tolerant distributed systems and commercial products.

His unique and balanced expertise in both Model-Based and AI technologies makes him an ideal instructor, exceptionally equipped to guide students on the practical application and integration of MBSE, AI, and ML technologies.
