DESCRIPTION: This intensive, immersive, hands-on workshop is for Model-Based Software andSystems Engineering teams who seek to precisely define both functional and non-functional requirements that can be Verified & Validated across the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The workshop emphasizes the practical application of proven Model-Based Requirements Engineering (MBRE) principles and best practices under the technical direction (“coaching”) of a MBSE Expert Instructor. The flexible workshop format follows a On-the-Job Training (OJT) approach, where your team works closely with your MBSE Expert Instructor to identify, prioritize, and resolve tough technical problems related to a real-world project that your team chooses.

PREREQUISITES: Software or systems engineering experience in building large and/or complex systems. No other experience or prior training is required.

The project practicum provides an opportunity to apply Model-Based Requirements Engineering (MBRE) principles and best practices to solve project modeling problems in a creative and supervised workshop environment. The practicum can be used to facilitate:
• Review MBRE project work artifacts
• Collaborate on MBRE project work artifacts
• Learn advanced UML 2 modeling tool techniques related to MBRE
Students can identify project modeling problems in advance, or Instructor will work with students to identify them.
